Every Word. Every Year.

At RFA we believe in the value of reading God's Word on a daily basis. We know that spending time with our Heavenly Father through the means of reading Scripture and prayer, we grow in our relationship with Him and are empowered to fulfill the Great Commission. That is why, as a church body, we have committed to reading every word of the Bible through every year.  The impacts of 15 minutes spent with Jesus can change ours and other's eternity.

Below are multiple plans to choose from! Pick the one that works best for you and piques your interest, and get busy reading!
Pastor's Personal Plan
This plan will have you reading one chapter a day out of six different genres: Law, History, Poetic, Prophets, Gospels, and Epistles. This will give you a unique overview of the Bible in less than a year! Pastor Danny highly recommends this plan.
Five Day Reading Plan
This plan is pseudo-chronological and gives you the ability to read through the entire Bible in one year, while all the while just having five readings a week. This helps if you have busy weekends or would like to have some built in time to catch up on missed readings. Each day you will read a portion of the Old Testament, the New Testament, and a Psalm on certain days. It is currently unavailable on YouVersion.
Chronological Plan
This plan does not read straight through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Rather, these readings are compiled according to recent historical research, taking into account the order in which the recorded events actually occurred. This is a fantastic plan to follow if you wish to add historical context to your reading of the Bible. If the schedule provided is followed, the entire Bible will be read in one calendar year.
Canonical Plan
This plan goes straight through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. You will be supplied with reading for each day of the week as a steady guide toward finishing the entire Bible in one calendar year.
Old Testament and New Testament Each Day Plan
It is important to understand the fullness of God's message to the churches, and a great way of doing this is reading the Old and New Testaments simultaneously. This plan, which can be completed in one calendar year, does just that. Readings from both Testaments are included from the beginning and although each reading does not contain both Testaments, the two are read effectively.
Robert Murray M'Cheyne Plan
This plan is based on the M’Cheyne reading system, featuring four different readings for use in both family and personal devotions. Each day has two passages from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament, and one from either the Psalms or the Gospels. In one year, you read the Old Testament once and the New Testament and Psalms twice.
